Funny faces!

DIMPLES like my dad!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Chandler is our big 8th grader this year and ruling Junior High School! He's already 5'8" and the doctor told us that he would probably be 6' 4"! We're sooooo glad to have Chandler around! Corbin, sadly for us, moved with his mom to Texas to begin his sophomore year. But we look forward to seeing Corbin soon!

Tabby started Kindergarten! I can't believe it! She was pretty excited but mostly to ride the bus...see story below! Gavin, on the other hand, would NOT let me leave his pre-school. He cried, jumped up and down, and screamed for me not to go. So in 110 degree weather I sat outside, in the shade, while he came 6 or 7 times to see if I was still there. The next time we went to school I got to sit in the car with him checking 3 times. Progress! I'm hoping that next week I'll be able to actually leave and run some errands. My little mama's boy!
Best daddy got the morning off to walk his daughter to her first day of school!
This is Tabby's teacher, Ms. Thibault (pronounced T-bow). Tabby loves her already! Whew!
So being that Tabby is MY first to go to school we took her to school the first day. Then she begged to take the bus the next day with all the neighborhood kids. Morning bus is fine because of the older kids but the afternoon bus is only for Kindergarten.
SO I followed the bus for 2 days.
The first day Tabby was on the bus for a good 45 minutes AND she was dropped off at the wrong bus stop! I would have totally FREAKED OUT, ya know! I spoke to the bus driver and made sure where she was being dropped off and what time.
By Thursday I swallowed my fear and just waited at the bus stop. Sure enough the bus came but it drove right past me and the other parents...what? Luckily the other parents didn't panic so I told myself not to panic. The bus had to turn around. Whew. And when it came back there was cute Tabby looking out the window.
When she got off the bus she exclaimed, "Yay, mom, you didn't follow the bus today...just like I prayed for." I was telling Tom the story (he said prayers with her the night before) and he said, "I forgot to tell you. She said in her prayers, 'Please bless Mommy won't follow the bus tomorrow.'" So what can I say, my little girl's prayers were answered. Too funny!

Grandma Janice!

Both Tabby & Gavin had over 100 degree temperatures when Garrett and I got home. So we all got naps...except mommy.

Chandler & Baseball!

The Padres took 1st place in their league so they played in the Tournament of Champions. Chandler had an awesome game that sent his team to the Championship game. With the score 5-6 for us, two outs, last inning, and runners on 3rd and 1st, the coach put Chandler in to pitch. Talk about nerve racking! So the first kid up to the plate Chandler hits with the ball - walk. Bases loaded. Then Chan strikes the next guy out! The whole team rushes the mound to congratulate Chandler! It was a fun game!
Although the Championship game was a disappointing loss, Chandler's friend Shawn (next to Chandler in the pic) put things in perspective by saying, "Darn it, we could have had a blue ribbon." We all laughed and enjoyed the celebration afterward!

ALL STARS!
Chandler was picked to play on the All Star team again this year. He was glad! And somehow Tom convinced Chandler to cut his hair! Hooray! Isn't he a total stud! He had a fabulous game on Saturday and we teased him that it was all because of his hair cut! (More details about the game below...)

Chandler's first time up to bat he hit a homerun...right over the fence!

His next time up to bat he hit a GRAND SLAM! Soooo cool!

Keep up the great work Chandler! You're awesome!

Gavin turns 3!

After lunch at Chuck E Cheese and when daddy came home it was present time!

Thanks Grandma Janice & Poppa Paul for the card and money!

Thanks Grammy and Poppa for the lawnmower! Gavin drives it every day! He also got lots of baseball stuff from big brothers and a toy airplane from sister!

But the favorite present was a "big boy" bike! He loves it!

Although he dislikes Nursery, Gavin loves to dress like Daddy on Sundays...my so handsome boys!
